Accessibility

What this site does for keyboard, screen-reader, low-vision and reduced-motion use, what it deliberately does not do, and how to tell us when something fails.

The standard we build to

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That is a working floor rather than a badge: it has not been independently audited, and saying so is more useful than a compliance claim you cannot verify.

Colour and contrast

Every text and background pairing was measured rather than eyeballed. Body text measures 12.99:1 on the page. On the grey-green readout panels, where every price lives, text measures 10.83:1.

The muted grey used for secondary text is a different value on the page and on a readout, because the same grey is not readable on both: 5.11:1 on the page and a darker tone at 4.61:1 on the readout, where the lighter one measured 3.36:1 and failed.

Amber marks a fault or an unknown, and deep green marks something confirmed. Neither is ever the only signal — every marked row also carries a word. Nothing on this site requires you to distinguish colours to use it.

Keyboard

Everything interactive is reachable and operable from a keyboard in a sensible order. Focus is always visible: a two-pixel outline, offset, in one fixed colour that never changes meaning.

A skip link to the main content is the first thing in the tab order on every page. The navigation on small screens opens from a real button with aria-expanded, and Escape closes it and returns focus. Wide price tables that scroll sideways become focusable regions so they can be scrolled with arrow keys, and only when they actually overflow.

Screen readers and structure

Every page has one h1 and a heading order that does not skip levels. Landmarks are real: a banner, a primary navigation with a label, a main region, and a footer navigation with its own label.

Price tables are real tables with a caption, a header row and row headers, so they are read as a grid rather than a run of numbers. The readout panels are definition lists, so each line is announced as a term and its value — "Operation, front brake pads and rotors" rather than a wall of text.

Decorative elements — the hazard striping between sections, the bezel on a readout — are drawn with CSS and hidden from assistive technology.

Motion

There is one animation: on the homepage, the readout fills its rows in sequence once, over about seven-tenths of a second, the way a scan tool does when it links to a vehicle. Everything else is a short fade as a section scrolls into view.

If your system asks for reduced motion, all of it is switched off and the readout renders already filled. Nothing loops, nothing auto-plays, nothing flashes.

Without JavaScript

The whole site works. Every page renders, every readout is already filled in, the questions open because they are native disclosure elements, the telephone number is a real link, and the footer carries the complete navigation. JavaScript adds the mobile menu, the fade and the readout fill. Nothing depends on it.

Text, zoom and sunlight

Everything is real text; there are no images of text anywhere. Type is sized in relative units so it follows your browser setting, and the layout holds at 200% zoom and at 400% in a single column without horizontal scrolling.

The light ground and the grey-green readout are a deliberate choice for this audience. A large share of the people reading this are standing in a parking lot in Florida sun looking at a phone, and a dark page that looks good in an office is hard to read out there.

In person

If getting to a screen is the problem rather than reading one, telephone and we will read you the prices, take the description and book the vehicle in over the telephone. The website is a convenience; the repair does not depend on it.

Tell us at write-up if you need the estimate read aloud, printed larger, or explained again. Nobody should authorize a repair they have not been able to read.

What we have not done

We have not had an independent audit. We have not tested with every combination of screen reader and browser. There is no accessibility overlay or widget on this site, deliberately — those tend to interfere with the assistive technology you have already configured.

Telling us something is broken

Telephone (904) 721-3000 during posted hours. Tell us the page and what happened, and what you were using if you know. We will fix it, and meanwhile we will get you the information another way.

Ask before you authorize, not after

Anything on this page that is unclear — the warranty term on your repair, which parts grades are available and what each costs, what happens if the estimate has to change — is a telephone call away, and asking before you authorize is always the right time.
